A prison truck sped from the South Jakarta District Court to Cipinang prison in East Jakarta. In it was Arman, who was being taken to serve out his sentence. Maher followed behind in a Baleno sedan.

That morning the sky was dark and clouds covered the earth, pouring heavy rain down on Thehok cemetery. The leaves from graveyard flowers danced in the raindrops.
Manra stood idly in the cemetery grounds, facing a silent tombstone. His mother, Jumira, was buried there three days before. He was bedraggled.
